Heather Amy is a law enforcement consultant specializing in use-of-force investigations, with more than 29 years in law enforcement. She brings Titan National Consulting Group extensive investigative experience, including leading investigation teams, and expertise in evidence analysis, witness interviews, and investigative strategy.
During her career with the Los Angeles Police Department from 1994 to 2023, Heather served as a Police Officer, Field Training Officer, Detective Trainee, Detective II, and Detective Supervisor. As a divisional detective, she focused on homicides. As a Detective Supervisor with the Force Investigation Division, she investigated categorical use-of-force incidents, including officer-involved shootings and in-custody deaths.
Heather has extensive training in use-of-force, homicide, and sex crimes investigations and is well-versed in current case law on law enforcement use of force. She holds an Associate of Arts in Administration of Justice, has completed numerous professional trainings and certifications, is a member of the California Homicide Investigators Association, and has been recognized with awards for her investigative work.
At Titan, Heather provides expert witness, consulting, and investigative services in matters involving use of force, officer-involved shootings, in-custody deaths, and homicide investigations. She reviews evidence, interviews witnesses, evaluates investigative practices, and prepares clear, comprehensive investigative reports.
